Shipping Charges
Product Pricing: The listed price of each product reflects its base cost without shipping.
Shipping Costs: Shipping fees are calculated based on the destination, package dimensions, and weight. To cover handling and packaging expenses, we include a standard markup of 13.25% on the actual shipping cost. For example, if the actual shipping cost is $60, the total shipping fee charged will be $67.95. We will notify you if your item qualifies for our flat rate shipping upon shipment.
Shipping Services
Rising Sun Autosports exclusively utilizes Japan Post EMS and United Parcel Services (UPS) shipping services. EMS is a global standard of service agreed to by the world’s post offices and is the highest grade service available.
You can expect a tracking number to be emailed to you from the moment Japan Post EMS service picks up the package from our shop and subsequent emails as it passes through the export, import and local delivery systems. While few products exceed the weight limit of 30kg (66lbs), products like front bumpers, hoods, side panels and others often exceed the 1.5m or 4’11” length limitation. In some countries, the length limitation is as little as 1.05m and weight limit, 20kg. Refer to the chat here for further details.
Shipping Calculator
Use the shipping calculator on Japan Post’s website to estimate shipping costs. Japan Post EMS is very cost-effective and reliable compared to other services.
We will consolidate your package, cut down boxes, and improve packaging quality to ensure your product arrives at the best rate possible while maintaining service and packaging quality. Typical transit time from Tokyo is 6-10 days. As of April 2025, we are testing with invoicing of shipment after we ship so we can provide accurate pricing based on the consolidated package and destination.
Oversized Shipments
For oversized products, we use UPS as our preferred carrier, especially for shipments to Canada and the United States. UPS offers various shipping options and provides door-to-door delivery for bulky items. UPS shipments incur a $14.99 paper export documentation fee charged locally in Japan.
